Rock in Rio Lisboa, in partnership with Liquid Innovation Co. and other strategic partners, is developing the Smart City of Rock, an innovative project that will transform the City of Rock into a true “living laboratory”.
The initiative aims to test and validate real technological solutions, usually applied in urban contexts, by adapting them to the unique environment of the festival — which brings together all the characteristics of a real metropolis.
The main areas of focus include mobility, safety, inclusion, energy, health, data, and brand experience, creating an ecosystem where innovation, sustainability, and technology come together.
In 2024, eight startups had the opportunity to test their solutions at the venue, paving the way for the project’s expansion in 2026. With this, Rock in Rio Lisboa reinforces its role as a global innovation platform while offering the audience a smarter and more unique experience.
The 11th edition of the festival will take place on June 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2026, at Parque Tejo (Parque Papa Francisco), in Lisbon.
